Cannot run app on IPhone 13

Please provide your development details as below;

1. SDK Version: 6.0.1
2. Development Environment: (Unity-iOS) Unity Macbook Pro M1
3. Tracker/Scanner: Image Tracker
4. License Type(Free / Pro-One Time Fee / Pro-Subscription / Enterprise): Free
5. Target Device(Optional): IPhone 13

I am trying to build a multi image tracker using MaxST AR SDK v6.0.1 in Unity 2022.3.0. When I import the MaxST Package there are some files from the Plugins folder that do not get imported to unity no matter how many times I import the package to the same project. When I so the same on my Windows system everything gets imported and works fine.

When I build on Android I can successfully use the app. I tried to build for iOS from my Windows system by exporting the files on windows then sending it to my mac and installing to my IPhone 13 using XCode. The build is successful but when I try to open the app it shows the unity splash screen and closes itself instantly.

The files that do not import to unity can be seen in the screenshot below.

In the Inspector window, enter ‘11.0' in Target minimum iOS Version and ‘description' in Camera Usage Description .

Hey Shelden,

It did solve my issue and I was able to build a proper app and install it on my IPhone successfully. But your reply did not address my issue of not being able to import the package properly in unity on my macbook pro.

I apologize for the delay in responding.

We have found a bug in the current 2022 version of Unity that prevents us from importing MAC OS bundles.
We'll fix it in the next version.
There are two ways to work around this issue until the next version release.
The first is to use Unity 2021 or earlier.
The second way is to get the bundle file and copy it directly into Plugins.

Thank you for your interest in the MAXST AR SDK. 


We're getting back to you to make sure we have the correct information.

The error you are seeing is that the MaxstAR.bundle is for intel-64 bit, so it won't run on Apple Silicon.

We don't currently have a bundle for Apple Sillicon, and we will release one for Apple Sillicon in the future.

Please download and run Unity Editor for intel instead of apple sillicon.

This should resolve the error.
