Create Our Own Calibration App?

Hello,

we're enjoy working with MAXST and our application is developing nicely enough. But a problem we're currently facing is regarding calibration. The MAXST Calibration App works well, but we wanted to customize it so that our clients won't have a vastly different experience from our application to the calibration app. Some small stuff like localization to our language, maybe change the UI a little etc. Of course the best option for us would be to embed the calibration process inside our application, but from what we've seen apparently that's not possible.

So, as we have the need to have our clients calibrate their devices before using our application, we wanted to at least make our own calibration app, or at least customize the existing one. Is something like that possible?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our SDK!

Our calibrated apps are not developed in SDK format, so I think it is difficult to integrate calibration app into your app.

We can customize the calibration app with language and design (like splash images, app icons, CI changes, app name changes). In this case, you have to pay customization fees.

Thank you.

I see, it's great that there's an option so that we can customize it if needed.

I have another problem that I hope you can help us with:

Using MAXST for Unity and building for a Moverio BT-350, I can only see my 3D objects if I install the MAXST calibration app and calibrate it for the first time, and even after that I still have to restart my Moverio so that the 3D objects appear. I remember reading that, if you didn't use the calibration app, the SDK should use a default calibration done by the MAXST team.

Oh, and if the calibration profile you created is working, if you uninstall the calibration app and then restart the Moverio, the 3D objects stop appearing too.

Problem is, I don't think that default calibration profile is being loaded for us. You have any idea why that is happening? Thanks.

Any update on my 2nd question about the calibration profile?

Thanks.
