Image Target at long distance
Hi,
I have played with your demo SDK for a while.
We have a need of making an AR model from a far recording camera, so the AR target image is about 5% of the wide shot.
The challenge is that the target image is always far away and we don't have the option to zoom-in.
1. Is it possible to config the code so it will recognize the target image from far away?
2. Is it possible to create a robust "Image Target" that will be seen from far away - more a marker than an image - when using the "Target Manager" it gave a poor mark for a robust image?
We use mostly Java for Android.
Thanks!
I'm also interested in this subject, it would be good to know what is the ultimate image target. I need to recognize a namecard size 50x90mm image from one meter or a bit more. It would be also a good feature to use only a part of the camera screen to search for image target, if it helps recognition.
Hello.
Thanks for your interest in MAXST SDK.
1) We do not provide the special mode for recognizing a far-away target.
Our SDK is able to recognize up to a quater size of screen width.
2) To create more well-recognizable target, kindly refer to the section "What makes a better target image?" of the link https://developer.maxst.com/MD/doc/g/targetm.
However, we've found a bug that a icon style target get 4~5 start rating although it is not well-recognized.
We'll fix the bug until the next week.
Thanks.
