No new ImageTargets are recognised after 6+ Scans.

Hello,

we are using the MAXST framework for more than 6 months. We are augmenting magazines of our company. Until now we had all our magazines with all the imageTargets in one scene, but this forced us to upload a new build to apple/google everytime a new magazine is released.

So we decided to store our imagetargets together with the content in the cloud and only download and initialize the one magazine.

Everything works well in the unity and on android devices. But for some reasons, not on iOS. A magazine contains about 8-20 Imagetargets.

After 6-8 Scans of Targets, it will not recognise any new ImageTargets. The previous scanned image targets are working well. Some imageTargets are hardly recognised and some very easy. All our Images have a 5 Star rating in the MAXST TargetManager.

We are initializing all the imagetargets at the sceneloading and adding it to the tracker. This happens with not errors.

We are using the same code for android and ios and using the same images. We have no problems on android or in the unity editor.

Does anybody have a guess where the problem is?

Please provide your development details as below;

1. SDK Version: 4.1
2. Development Environment: Unity-Android, Unity-iOS
3. Tracker/Scanner: ImageTargets
4. License Type: Pro-One Time Fee
5. Target Device(Optional): Android/iPhone/iPad

Hello martin.haintz.

What is the main issue you are talking about? 6-8 After scanning a target, is it no longer recognizing a new ImageTarget?
Does that mean that in this situation, the Image Tracker will be a bit of a new ImageTarget in addition to the one already recognized?

Thank you.

Hello Leo,

I think we have 2 problems. Both only happen on iOS. Android is working fine! We have the same codebase and the using the same ImageTargets, so it looks like it is something wrong in the ios implementation of the maxst part.

Maybe the 2 Problems are related to each other but maybe not.

1.) We have magazines containing 12 Markers. Starting from page 1 up to page 12 it stops recognising the marker after page 7 or marker number 7. After restarting the app it will recognise the marker. This is happening in different magazines.

As i said we are loading the markers at the beginning of the scene and adding it to the tracker.

2.) We have some ImageTargets which are hardly or never recognised on the iOS Version. Android works perfect. All ImageTargets are ratet 5 stars at the maxst target manager.

The last 2 days we developed an version where the markers are build inside the app at compile time and not loaded at runtime from the server. this time everything works well on ios.

regards Martin

Hello martin.haintz.

Would you please upload a video of the phenomenon you talked about in step 1?

Please upload an ImageTarget that is not recognized in step 2.

What did you say last time did you develop a new version of the build within your app so that it works without problems?

Thank you.
